Timing is subject to scratch depth - if you are unsure how long to polish for, we recommend following the crosshatch motion for around 60 seconds, then wipe and check your progress.
Scratch removal is not instantaneous. If the Scratch is still there, simply apply more compound and repeat the crosshatch pattern for 60 seconds and inspect.
